Angela was born and raised in Erie, Pennsylvania to the Late Mr. Willie Lee and Pazella McBride Carr. She is the proud mother of three children, (2) sons and (1) daughter. The very proud grandmother of 3 grandsons, and (1) granddaughter. She is a graduate of East High School, after which she attended the Opportunity Industrialization Center (OIC) where she completed a program in Business.  Angela continued in her education attending Erie Business Center receiving and Associate Degree in Business majoring in Sales & Marketing. To advance her skills in sales and marketing Angela took classes at Penn State Behrend College in Supervisory Management and Marketing. Angela later attended Strayer University and received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Human Resource Management, a Master’s in Public Administration, and a Master’s in Education concentration in Curriculum and Assessment. Angela received an Associate degree from Advantage College in Practical Theology and has recently completed her bachelor’s Degree in Practical Theology. Angela has also taken courses from the Full Gospel Baptist Bible Institute, in Erie, Pennsylvania.   Angela’s position in community as a Parent Advocate, Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) Educational Surrogate for Erie and Millcreek School Districts, and Mentor for Incarcerated Parents.

     Angela has been part of the Erie Weed & Seed committee serving on the Education Committee, Advisory, & Health Committee, as the Co-Chair. She Completed Entrepreneurial training from the Bedrock of Your Business Program, Project Blueprint Leadership program, and Healthy youth development & Asset Training. She also attended Citizen’s Police Academy Training and is active in her Neighborhood Watch Group. Angela is a past board member of Crime Victim Witness Center and current board member of Robert Benjamin Wiley Community Charter School on the finance committee. She is also a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars, and the Alpha Sigma Lambda Honor Society.

     Angela is affiliated with Greater Calvary Full Gospel Baptist Church and her Pastor is Bishop Jesse N. Gavin. As a Minister In training she is also a part of the Evangelistic Outreach Ministry at Greater Calvary and goes into Erie County Prison weekly to minister to the Female Inmates. She also has gone to the juvenile group homes, nursing homes, shelters, and on the streets to share the gospel.  Angela serves as the State of Pennsylvania and Western District Director of Volunteers/Hospitality in the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship. She loves singing in her church choir and in the many community choirs that she is affiliated with.  Because of the many things that she has overcome in her physical and her mental she stands firmly on the believe that there is nothing too hard for God. One of her favorite scriptures is Mark 11:24 “Therefore I say unto you, what things so ever ye desire, when you pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them".
